We tested a batch of 8 picatinny covers by Maverick0197. At the slicing settings used, it took 1 hour and 28 minutes to print with PLA+ in Army Green and Gloss Black. The settings are for prototype purposes.

How They Look

Covers on Double Bell Skeletonized Railing System.  Tested @SC Village, Chino, CA – 01/13/2024.  4 of the 8 rail covers fell off during a session at Kosovo map along with a few of Drops magpul rail covers.

Slice Settings Use

Sliced with Cura. Line supports under the bridge to avoid adding supports on the user facing side.

Proto 1: Standard quality 0.16, 15% infill, 80 mm/s, 30% overlap, brim adhesion, 225 nozzle temp, 60 bed temp.

Proto 2: Dynamic quality 0.2, 45% infill, 60 mm/s, 45% overlap, brim adhesion, 225 nozzle temp, 60 bed temp. 1.0 retraction distance and 43 mm/s retraction speed.
